Your safety is important when fishing for Tasmania's wild trout

Respect the sun when you go trout fishing

The UV is more intense in Tasmania, even on overcast days. Be sure to bring along sunscreen. We also provide a high SPF sunscreen.

Essential items when trout fishing in Tasmania: sunscreen, hat & sunglasses.

Protect your eyes

Protecting your eyes when trout fishing with polaroid or safety glasses is highly recommened. If you don't have them, we provide polaroid sunglasses for client use. We also have quality polaroid Spotters sunglasses available for purchase.

Sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun and also from wayward fishing hooks!

Be prepared for any weather

When fishing in Tasmania, it is a good idea to bring along warm clothing. Due to the sudden changes in weather that Tasmania can experience at any time of year, it is wise to be prepared for all extremes in all seasons. Warm clothing is essential.

Trout Territory operates guided trout fishing tours and supplies all the quality fishing gear required. Of course you're welcome to bring your own favourite gear if you like! If you do bring your own fishing gear, please ensure it is cleaned and dried before bringing it into Tasmania. This is essential for Tasmania to remain a disease free fishery. More information...
